This is a cover song from the 1999 Christmas album from the band Low. The album was described as "the religious album even heathens can love". The original song, and the album, have become a staple on our Christmas playlist. Like the band we are covering, this tune falls in the "sad songs make us happy" category. Brian and Heather are joined by Brian's dad Charles on cello, and Mike Musburger on drums. This is also the first track entirely recorded at the band's Portland Studio - The Attic. We hope this song evokes a Pacific Northwest holiday melancholy and lulls you into some hypnotic stares at nearby walls or out foggy windows.
