see the forest for the trees less is more is what you need it’s not them but you and me oceanside above the sea doesn’t matter if it’s full or ice-blue eyes are covered wool close them now fall into me and I will touch you into sleep it’s not all lost it’s not impossible it’s just hard and then it’s not and what it costs is what you’d pay in full it will hurt until it won’t I’ve always loved you, always will feet up on the window sill with all the hours in my ears I heard forever drawing near you had cold feet and had cold feet daydream of a time machine the Fremont door was never closed I waited there to be exposed it’s not all lost it’s not impossible it’s just hard and then it’s not and what it costs is what you’d pay in full it will hurt until it won’t you'll keep stalling ‘til you don’t think you sink but you can float they were never at your throat if it’s really what you need it will come eventually there’s no way then it will pass see you or through the glass

Paladin 05:30
where are you going when you walk away you’re not alone and then it’s my delay what if we’re running out of time today break it every night just to let you know take it every night just to let you go my ears are burning with the things you say you’re not a cousin to the easy way I’d put a penny on it any day cracking a window just to get to you if it's in jeopardy then that makes two it’s getting colder, what’s a squirrel to do? break it every night just to let you know take it every night just to let you go turn it to the right but it sounds the same aching every night, calling out your name I'm tired of running on my frozen feet you left a hole right in my favorite sheet too late to sour when it tastes so sweet I always believed I just can’t breathe until you show up and you fill me again please don’t let me go cause I just know I’m headed down so far I might not make it back too fearful to fall, so this is all this dizzying moment to lay it all down why won’t you be mine?

all the thumbs couldn’t hold the sailor down cape disappointment is a lovely place to drown if you’re happy and you know it go to bed and let me be or are you big enough to forgive the way you fell in me? you were building up when I was breaking down you were sketching out and I was skipping town spinning out in five dimensions sleepy mumbling through the night to stop the wondering if something’s going to save me now all right, all wrong wrong wrong so right so long long long long all right, all wrong wrong wrong I never have known this there’s nowhere to run this is the only one this is the thing that everyone is going on about you’ll never be, I can’t even see when you said you’d wait did you know I’m always late? like a tied-up timpanist in the song that’s dragging me all right, all wrong wrong wrong so right so long long long long all right, all wrong wrong wrong in the streetlight we answered every question right all the thumbs couldn't hold the sailor down

Daily Double 04:26
something strange is going on tonight heed the sign of trouble and put out the light cause nothing could bring nothing good tonight free the daily double and ask yourself who’s on tonight and so I hide my feet so cold while you’re on fire just across a patient bridge again but I’m too wrong to try to take you in again again again continue me something strange is going on tonight you’ve lost your taste for kneeling and I’m not so bright I haunt the bed you drink all the red tonight and fly into the ceiling to black me out so long, tonight and there I lie behind the line while you’re on fire just across a patient bridge again but I’m too wrong to try to take you in again again again continue me

too much tonic in your cloud I fell before superchronic disallowed on the thirteenth floor can you throw it without consequence to break down the door does it shimmer so picturesque when I put my soul in yours? I’ve never been a gunner and I might be a Sunday runner but I’m running circles all over you and the lake that lies between us when we fight for the light that we’ve never seen it won’t mean nothing when we get through oh no, not again caught me fumbling at the gate all the pebbles in my hand can't wake the dead ‘cause it's so damn late I’ve never been a gunner and I might be a Sunday runner but I’m running circles all over you and the lake that lies between us when we fight for the light that we’ve never seen it won’t mean nothing when we get through all I want is all I want is everything is all you got I’ll drown a Sunday runner for you

I ran to a dozen bridges to double down on anemia and a lustrousness by proxy swimming in polluted blood I ran to a holy basement bricked in with legal pads persistent efflorescence until the girl went girl went mad (made bed) I ran to a smoke-stained daylight and an unmanned wheelchair I swore I smelled a widow in a game of solitaire I ran to a sinking island and a cold box with a killer view (made bed) oh when we were green in idiot love the seas were mean I got so lost talking against time your home for wayward girls was always mine I ran to save the savior stiff peaks, a sugar haze a dustbowl apparition abandoning the maze I ran into myself I ran in two I ran into ourself I ran in two I ran into your arms green mean time swear you’ll let me in (fight to fight fighting)

Focus Puller 05:37
I I was a girl I was a strong girl always on fire I didn’t believe there was a place I could be home once you played me a song about a space heater and I understood that you meant a girl but I wasn’t a girl with an apt metaphor and every time I go to Newport, I lose my mind every time I land in New York, I’m losing time and every time I leave LA I say, beats me I wanted to be real so I went on an Odyssey gods and monsters devoured me because all they could see is they wanted a mother or maybe a whore and I was always too scared to look but I knew I’d find you since before I knew that I couldn’t take this place and you you always believed before you were broken before I had a name before you thought you were alone focus puller, have I got a job for you focus puller, there’s a shadow coming through focus puller, where’d you leave that ingenue was she crashing through the set? was she spilling in her shoe? focus puller, tell me what I gotta do focus puller, is my motivation true? focus puller, see my lips are turning blue every time I lose the plot then I’m calling after you beats me beats me
8.
Tied Island 04:01
here she here she comes again she hits me back hits me back again on her by her side it seems a modest bluff isn't what it means Rosehilla, Manzanita’s tide we’ll swim off Dockton’s shore now that the island’s tied zeroes ones, days of the dead 12:01 to get inside her head remember me? had to get it down on our knees on wet auspicious ground Rosehilla, Quartermaster’s tide seven acres overgrowing now the fleets have died
9.
you were smirking in a suit and shining in your boots with a face that I couldn’t remember I was sinking in the booth and tapping on my tooth with a menthol that nobody wanted lights out, no doubt I’m losing you in time, you're mine, I’ll get to you I was waiting on your porch extinguishing a torch for a friend that I kept playing up to you were breathless in the bins the needles and the pins planted in my dismantled apartment lights out, no doubt I’m losing you in time, you're mine I’ll get to you expert packer
10.
Three Stars 04:19
don’t let the divers get you down once again once again don’t let the divers try to take you under now because where they’re going, you can’t breathe don’t let the break pull you away reach for me reach for me there is always more than what was taken and you are stronger than it will ever be don’t lay it heavy on your heart leave it be leave it be again and nothing is forever and you are mine and we are we away we’re going away away away and oh how I was sinking on down down down down all alone until I found you and oh have I been wondering how how how I breathed so long before there were you and I had to be broken wide enough to make the room for you to come in and I oh how I have loved you longer than there have been stars before and after and again again again

about

Corvair’s debut album charts a starcrossed love story over three decades, five cities, and six continents. Spanning from atmospheric pop to jangly confessional, chugging groovers to molten guitar anthems, 70s AM to 90s FM, this work is laden with stunning turns of phrase and prodigious melodies, two voices leaping to meet in the ether. The album was mostly created during the COVID pandemic shut-down of Spring 2020. It includes work with drummer Eric Eagle (Jesse Sykes, Wayne Horvitz) and Engineer Martin Feveyear (Brandi Carlile, Mark Lanegan, Mudhoney), who also mixed the record.

Corvair sounds like nothing you've ever heard and everything you've always loved.
